What It Does on the Body
The structured Mikado holds the shape of the bodice while asymmetrical ruching wraps diagonally across the bust, waist and hip. Instead of releasing immediately from the waist, the fitted silhouette continues through the hips before opening into the lower skirt. The result is a defined shape with enough structure in the fabric to keep the lines of the gown crisp.
