Your Gown, Your Pageant: Our Dress Registry
When you buy your pageant dress at Dimitra Designs, we register it to your pageant or your school. Once your dress is registered, we won't sell the same dress in the same color to another contestant from that pageant or school. The registry covers dresses bought at Dimitra Designs, not at other stores or online.
How does the registry work?
- When you buy, your dress is registered to your pageant or school, and its tag shows where it was sold.
- Before another contestant buys, a stylist asks which pageant and school she is shopping for and checks the tag.
- If that dress is already registered there in that color, she chooses a different dress or a different color.
Why does it matter?
- Your gown, in your color, won't be sold here to another contestant from your pageant or school.
- You can stop searching once you find the gown you love.

Bring the shoes you plan to wear on stage and the undergarments you'll wear under your gown, so the length and fit look right. Bring your pageant's rules or photos from past stages, too. They help a Dimitra Designs stylist suggest gowns that suit your division and your stage.
How do I choose a pageant gown color for the stage?
Stage lighting can change how a color reads from the audience, so try more than one shade before you decide. Each style is made in its own one to three colors, and a Dimitra Designs stylist will help you compare the colors your favorite styles come in and see them on our runway.
Can a pageant gown be altered?
Yes. Alterations at Dimitra Designs in Greenville, SC are separate and optional, done in-house after your gown arrives. Depending on how a gown is built, our seamstresses can adjust the hem, refine the fit or add support so it moves well on stage. Availability varies by season, so plan ahead.
What if my size or color isn't on the rack?
Most pageant gowns at Dimitra Designs are on the floor in one size and one color, so you can try the style first. If the style comes in your size or color, we can order it from the designer, and a stylist confirms it is still available and can arrive before your pageant.

Yes. If you need more time, Dimitra Designs offers payment terms with no finance fees: a Layaway Plan for a dress from our floor and a Special Order Payment Plan for a dress ordered from the designer. The terms are on our layaway plan page, and a stylist will walk you through them first.
