How Portrait is built for curves
Portrait is not a resized version of a smaller gown. Each style is re-engineered from the inside out: the internal structure, boning, and seam placement are redesigned to support and contour a fuller figure, so the fabric and detail sit where the designer intended rather than pulling against the body. It carries the same high-fashion aesthetic as the Enzoani couture line, with enhanced corsetry and support underneath it.
Portrait sizes and silhouettes
The collection is designed specifically for bridal sizes 16–32, across a range of modern, sophisticated silhouettes — from fitted shapes to fuller skirts — in luxurious fabrics with handcrafted detail. Because the range is drafted for the plus figure from the start, the beading and lace sit in proportion rather than stretched out of place.
How Portrait gowns are altered in-house
A gown with this internal structure asks something of the people who alter it. Our master seamstresses bring 40+ years of alterations expertise and work with the boning and support from the inside, so the fit is refined for the bride who will wear it without losing the designer’s construction. Alterations are handled in-house, in the same building where you choose the gown.
Designer options versus in-house alterations
Some choices are made when the gown is ordered — the designer-ordered options a style offers. Others are in-house alterations, handled once the gown arrives: the fit, the hem, the internal support adjusted to you. Either way, the gown is ordered in a standard size from Portrait’s own size chart and fitted to you in-house, never made to your exact measurements.
Compare Portrait with the other plus collections
Portrait is one of several plus lines on our floor, and the differences are easiest to feel side by side. Try it against Julietta by Morilee and Maggie Sottero Curve in one appointment to find the construction that suits you.
The same house as Enzoani
Portrait comes from the same house as Enzoani, the flagship couture line, and Élysée, the body-contouring one. All three are on our floor and can be tried in a single appointment.
What brides ask about Portrait by Enzoani
Are Portrait gowns made to my measurements?
No. We measure your bust, waist, and hip, order the size that best fits your largest measurement from Portrait’s own size chart, and our master seamstresses complete the fit in-house.
What makes Portrait different from other plus-size collections?
Most plus ranges are graded up from a smaller size. Portrait is designed as a plus gown from the start, so nothing has to be stretched to fit — the shape you try on is the shape it was built to be.
What size range does Portrait come in?
Portrait is designed for bridal sizes 16–32. Bring the styles you love to your appointment and a consultant will confirm the range for each gown.
What if I’m between sizes?
That is the normal case, not a problem. Very few brides land on one clean size, and our seamstresses bring the gown to you during alterations wherever you start — a little room in one place is exactly what a fitting is for.
