The prom contest for high school girls. Up to 20 Icon Girls represent Dimitra Designs at their schools, bring their friends to shop, and earn points. The top Icon Girl wins her prom dress free, up to $800.
Applications open October 26 and close November 15.
It isn't a modeling contest, and followers don't count. We're looking for the girls their friends look to.

How it works
Apply
Fill out the application and upload a 30–60 second video. Applications close November 15.
Get chosen
A panel picks one or two Icon Girls per school. Every applicant hears back by December 5.
Kick off
Kickoff night on Saturday, December 12, with your parent: photos, first look and your Prom Contest cards.
Shop and share
Buy your prom dress here by January 31 with your 30% off. Share your prom journey in at least two Stories or TikToks a month.
Bring your friends
Hand your cards to friends shopping for prom. You earn points when they come in and when they buy.
Win
The Icon Girl with the most points on February 28 wins her prom dress free.

Friends' purchases during winter break count double. Your friend's card has to be on her registration form when she arrives, or the points don't count. Likes and followers never count.
How we choose
A panel reviews every application and picks one or two Icon Girls per school. We look at four things:

The application takes about 10 minutes. Right after you submit, we'll show you where to upload your 30–60 second video: who you are, your school, what you're involved in, and why you want to be chosen.

Questions
Who can apply?
High school girls going to a prom in 2027, with a parent's or guardian's permission if under 18. Priority goes to schools in the Upstate of South Carolina, but any girl who can come to our store for the events can apply.
Do I need a lot of followers?
No. Followers and likes don't count. Points come from friends who come in and buy their prom dress, and from completing your monthly missions.
Does it cost anything to apply?
No. Applying is free. Icon Girls who are chosen buy their own prom dress at Dimitra Designs with our 30% employee discount, and the winner's dress becomes free, up to $800.
What if I'm not chosen?
Every applicant hears from us by December 5. Girls who aren't chosen get $30 off their prom dress and an invitation to an Icon Girls try-on day.
