What It Does on the Body

The square neckline creates a strong frame across the shoulders, while the corset construction defines the bodice before dipping into the pointed basque waist. That extended waistline visually lengthens the fitted portion of the gown before the skirt releases into its A-line shape. The allover lace keeps the transition from bodice to skirt soft, allowing the silhouette to remain the focus without a sharp change in fabric.

One Lace, Two Different Bodice Looks

Choosing the lined or unlined bodice changes how much of the corset construction becomes part of the design. The unlined version allows the boning and negative space beneath the lace to show through, while lining creates a more continuous ivory background. With no beading added to either version, the intricate lace pattern remains the primary decoration from neckline to train.

We measure your bust, waist and hip, order from Stella York's size chart, and our master seamstresses can complete the final fit in-house. Alterations are booked separately.
