Without the overskirt, 9955 follows the body in a fitted lace silhouette that keeps the floral pattern visible from bodice through train. Adding the detachable overskirt changes the proportion completely, introducing soft volume around the fitted gown while allowing portions of the lace underneath to remain visible. It gives you the option to change the gown's silhouette without changing dresses.
The Detail That Decides It
The high neckline and illusion construction give this gown a very different balance from a traditional strapless lace fit-and-flare. Floral motifs appear against the skin through the upper bodice and continue around the high illusion back, making the lace pattern itself responsible for much of the neckline and back design.
