Dimitra Designs is an authorized retailer of every designer in our plus size collection, and our founder, Dimitra Mandalas, chooses the gowns for our floor at market. Each plus size line has its own page:
- Essense of Australia Plus Size: the EveryBody, EveryBride collection, with Stella York plus size styles from the same house.
- Maggie Sottero Plus Size: lace-up corset backs, with Sottero and Midgley plus size styles from the same house.
- Portrait by Enzoani: the plus size line from the same house as Enzoani, drafted for a fuller figure.
- Julietta by Morilee: Morilee's plus size line, also available in regular sizes.
- Sophia Tolli Plus Size: the Curvy Collection, with a corset back that keeps adjusting after the gown arrives.

Regular sizes and W sizes: what's the difference?
The difference is proportion, not just a bigger number. A W size is cut squarer, with a shorter waist and more allowance through the hips, and its bust, waist and hip measurements change gradually from one size to the next instead of jumping. A regular 18 and an 18W are two different fits, not two names for the same gown.
Some of our plus size lines are sized with a W, like Julietta by Morilee; others use regular numbers, like Portrait by Enzoani. At your appointment in Greenville, SC, a Dimitra Designs stylist reads the designer's own chart with you, and when your gown arrives, our master seamstresses with 40+ years of alterations expertise fit it in-house. Alterations are separate and optional, booked after your gown arrives.

Questions Plus Size Brides Ask Before Their Appointment
Should I order a W size or a regular size wedding dress?
Your measurements decide, not the label. A Dimitra Designs stylist compares your bust, waist and hip with the designer's chart for both fits and shows you which one follows your proportions. The letter describes how the designer cut the pattern, not your body, and the chart matters more than your everyday clothing size.
What if the sample I try on isn't my size?
That is normal. Your stylist uses clamps or extenders so you can picture the silhouette and style on your body. If you choose that gown, we take your bust, waist and hip measurements to find your best size on the designer's own chart, order it from the designer, and alter it in-house.
Can I try on a plus size gown that isn't in your collection?
For Maggie Sottero and Essense of Australia, often yes. Both designers offer a loaner program: we check whether the style is available to borrow and bring it in for your appointment, so you try on the gown you had your eye on instead of choosing from a photo. Do you offer payment plans on plus size wedding gowns?
Yes. Dimitra Designs offers payment terms with no finance fees: a Layaway Plan for a gown from our floor, and a Special Order Payment Plan for a gown ordered from the designer.
